Ford Ranger 2.3L and 4X4

There's a ton of used NAPA and power company trucks around but I don't ever see a 4cyl 4X4. Did the Ford Ranger ever come with the 4cyl 2.3L AND 4 wheel drive? (I need to replace my car with a little run around work truck to keep miles off my big trucks and I know the 2.3L is durable.)

I've owned both a 2wd 4 banger with the 2.3l, and a 4x4 with the 4.0 V6. Both manual transmission. The 2.3 was awful weak, pretty good mileage of course, but weak, and virtually no towing capacity. Now the 4x4, (06' Fx4) was a blast to drive. It went wherever I wanted. Towed 5000lb loads with ease. Also, only about 5mpg worse than the 2.3l on the highway. Man I miss that thing, but the kids came and I had to trade her in for a family car...a ram quad cab.

They did make them, but are far between. I think I saw one on Louisville Craigs list not too long ago.
