Yeah it"s a warm weather job, did mine outside in - 16 oc a few weeks ago shop was full with customer tractors, and didn"t have space.
Was not fun with no gloves on! I fitted the new tap, think the old rings where yellow and the new improved are green. I did notice that the new tap was way stiffer to turn than old, so im guessing my tap was worn as well.
I think the bottom screw was the most awkward and took the most time to do. I used a 1/4 drive ratchet with a short torx bit in a socket to get maximum tool clearance, in the small space to do mine .
Bad news is it was a pig to do, but good news no more buck 30 a liter fuel on the drive, and all over the top of the motor.
The only thing i do wonder after doing mine would I of been better doing the full re build now, as if those rings went south, how long will it be before the others get eaten by the fuel and start leaking and I'm back there again!
