i agree.

my 99 350 drw, 4.10 gears 4x4, hauling 3 tool boxes, 5w40 syn oil.. makes 15 city.. maybee 17.5 hwy.

my 04 250 6.0 4x4 3.73 rear 1 tool box 5w40 syn oil , upgrade air box, mild tuning can make, 15-16 city, and 19 hwy ( pulling an unlaoded 16' trailer.. ~ 2200# etc. if i keep my foot out of the turbo.

,my 99 450 drw, hauling bed and 3 tool boxes, aux 50g fuel tank, 19.5" tires, 4.88 rear, pulling about 5000# unlaoded gooseneck will make about 15 city or hwy. Sweet fuel spot is 67-72mph. if I pass that, fuel eco starts diving... especially if loaded. I pulled a 12k load out of south florida.. tall passanger van..e tc.. and was making 75 ish on the interstate.. economy dropped to like 9... ;)

70 and under for that old girl.. .. otherwise she eats too much....

ps.. I'm suspicous of any MPG #'s after a tuner is used. I have a feeling they use some fuzzy hash to skew the #'s. I always do tank fill and miles travelled to get a real idea...

I used the tank fill and miles traveled. I double checked my odometer with the route on mapquest. I'm hoping to do a well documented test next summer after a couple improvements. I can't get much over 20mpg doing 70mph. It likes 55-60mph. doing 65-70mph with an 8X20 grain ox on the gooseneck trailer got me 8mpg in windy flat cold Illinois. The worst I've ever got!
