Do they pull nice? Im looking at a 30ft tandem gooseneck and im worried about the weight of the empty trailer at 7100lbs. im towing with a 1999 dodge 3500 cummins

i have a friend who has a 99 dodge 3500 that has a
32 foot he bought new in 2000 it is not a pj but it
weights about 7500lbs empty i have a 04 dodge 3500
that i pull a falcon 48 foot that weights about
8500lbs empty

My neighbor has a 32 footer he bought 3 years ago.
He pulls it with a 1989 F450 with a 460/5speed and
has no complaints. Your cummins will handle it just
fine.

Thats good to hear... i know some goosenecks pull hard and i dont wanna feel like im dragging around 10 ton all the time.

My 20+5 pulls excellent behind a 3/4 ton, and even has quite a few miles behind a 1/2 ton.

We have had several and the brand name helps resale[I get a new one yearly].Their ramps are easy to lift and they also have nice steps and front tool box.Have had a few electrical issues which they took care off.For some reason the last one we got the powdercoating was not as good and they also were good about that. All trailers pull a little rough but they are pulled easily by a 3/4 pickup with 350/400 H.P.

You didn't say if it was single or dual tires. If single, what are you hauling? You can only haul about 8000 lbs before you are overloaded.

Dual tires.. The single tire 28' i looked at weighs 5500.. Im just not sure if i wanna be limited to hauling 10,000 lbs. but again not sure about hauling around the extra weight of the tandem dual tire trailer..

I've got a 24' PJ - pulls good, like it. :D

I have a PJ 32' tandem gooseneck. I love it. Very nice trailer and pulls great. I will say the 7100 empty was something I didn't even think about when I bought mine. So good for you for thinking about that. You should be fine.
I have a 1989 Ford F350 with a 7.3IDI. It does pretty good empty. It is SLOW with the trailer loaded. I don't haul long distances or I would be forced to upgrade for something with more power.
