I was hauling home some tractors this weekend and for some reason when a dodge truck decided to tailgate me my air filter must have plugged up and smoked him out. As you can see in the picture.. Still not sure how it got plugged up so easy lol

I had that happen to me one time. I was hauling a tractor doing 10 under the speed limit and some guy sat on my tail for almost an hour. Don"t know why since there was almost no one out on the interstate that night.

Don't slow down or speed up. Just ride the middle line like you are trying to block them from passing. You will me amazed how fast they will pass you.

I found a way to back them off or make them pass, started blinking the trailer lights on and off for several minutes or even shut them off for 30 seconds or so.

When I get on the interstate anymore I fall in behind a truck. Keeps my pace fairly steady and I don't really feel like having to do the speed limit anymore now that I live somewhere that the limit is faster than I like to drive. Both aspects help with gas mileage. Though I do try to stay a decent distance back and also run a CB so I can talk to them.

What I don't like is when they have to be within a couple pick-up lengths off my bumper, after catching up to me, and then won't pass, even after I pull over to let them by.

Funny how a phone chat with a sheriff's dispatcher near a fairly populated area can take care of that.

I posted a couple weeks ago about in the Boston area people block you out from changing lanes. Well a part of that is keeping close to the car ahead of you in order to keep people out. As I stated before I try to let them in but for many drivers a standard distance to allow is one foot per ten miles an hour. You frequently see drivers that cut that in half.

If there is room for just one car between you and the car you are following, you can bet that someone will try to squeeze in there.
