Then permits could come into play. Though the WI state permit office told me if not over 10ft wide and not on the interstate no permit is needed. This was a year ago or so . Might want to check permit is about $30.00 or you can get an annual for about $90.00 the annual is size only for that price and is huge in the dimensions.   [Reply]  [No Email]

If charging by the mile I add $25 minimum for each time we use the winch. To many fellas out there trying to cut rates and are losing a lot of money. It costs us $1000/mon just for insurance and license on the semi. Still in that 400 range with the dually by the time you license it properly, add DOT inspections and carry adequate cargo insurance. Get stopped by the DOT and not be fully licensed and permitted and you lose big.   [Reply]  [No Email]

I usually do a buy the hr rate as with my semi time is money. 80 miles should take you about 1 hr 30-45 min to travel loaded and empty but where you can lose your butt is at the loading site or unloading site. It is amazing how many times a tractor is not ready when it supposed to be {not running,flat tires,doesn't run,has duals on it]. I just find by the hr works best for all party's involved. It tends to make them work a little harder when there paying for it. Big truck is 100 a hr and the p/u with gooseneck is 65 a hr.   [Reply]  [No Email]
