They are not especially cheap, but Cummins has a B series flywheel housing (bolts to the back of the engine block, and the bellhousing bolts to it) that has a chevy bellhousing pattern. You can get flywheel housings to fit chevy, ford, or dodge patterns because Cummins made re-power packages to replace gas engines in industrial applications with 4BT and 6BT diesels. You can also get cummins factory motor mounts to bolt in place of small-block gassers. |

| We already have the motor mounts. The motor is in place. From your description, I'm not sure if the flywheel housing you mention will help us. One of the bellhousings we have will already bolt up to the chevy tranny, and to the motor, but it binds on the clutch. The bellhousing that does not bind on the clutch will bolt up to the motor but not to the tranny. So, this is the bell housing we need to accommodate. Advanced Adapters referred me to Diesel Specialists. They said they have the right adapter plate but I haven't been able to reach them to confirm this and order it. Meamwhile, we located a good 5 spd. tranny, probably a Getrag, in a 1992 Dodge 350, but with a gas engine. We may end up trying to use it instead. |

| | The gas engine bellhousing won't fit the Cummins flywheel housing. Somehow something you are trying to use isn't what you think you have. |
