need to get fenders from New York to Kansas....

I am looking for someone that might be able to haul two fenders for a Minneapolis Moline A4T 1600 from New York area to Central Kansas or at least close.

how big are they? I shipped a pair of big ones once UPS. just put stickers on them.

UPS is one option, if you want a quote from a hauler, go post and check out "hauling schedule" (link on the left at bottom of "Community" section.

You would want to send them UPS Freight or Fedex Freight. After packing them they will be most likley to large to ship by UPS or Fedex package car.

I drove for a commerical carrier for 38 years . We did not like to pick up anything unless it was boxed or crated. If we were forced into hauling it we would note the bill of laden that we were not liable for any damages during shippment. I would think you would like to protect them from any damages even if they are used. If you could see how freight is packed into a trailer it is surprising there isn't more damage than there is.

I found out that my guy with the fenders is going to the Lowery auction this weekend and so is Clint Stamm, so Clint is going to bring them back to Kansas for me.

We still will not pickup anything that is not boxed or at least tied down on a pallet. The sad part is if they get damaged they will not pay you on value unless you get a rate based on value. If you get a regular rate based on weight they only pay so much a pound.

You can get a better rate calling one of the freight brokers like unishippers than you can calling us direct because we give them such a big discount on volume.

You can also save big by droping off and or picking up at a terminal. Farm and residential pickups and deliveries add to the cost.
