it could depend on trans and rear gears, it has been said that auto can get around14-15 empty, loosing about 4-5 mpg loaded, depending on trailers, the good thing about bigger is that more heavy duty built that a p/u, longer lasting on drive componets, brakes, tires, roomier cabs,,hada 2004 f-650, cat engine [slug] 6-sp, 4-dr, made into 5th wheel r-v hauler, lost job, sold, truck, kept 5th, now have p/u..some day back to bigger...
