arms cleaning attachemnts

was taking the other day to an aquaintance. The person mentioned an attachment they had seen months ago on some sight; couldn't remember what or where. It was a cylinder like item that attached to the end of a barrel that caught the cleaning fluid when cleaning a fire arm. I don't know anything about this but since I am on the yt sight my friend asked if I could inquire if any one knows what it might have been.

It sounds like the adapter used for cleaning muzzle loaders that either screw into the nipple hole or clamp over the flash hole on a flintlock. I personally don't think they are a big advantage over the old methods.

You most likely are talking about a solvent trap. Be careful, the ATF (under the present administration) recently redefined the criteria on what constitutes a suppressor or silencer. The ATF considers parts that can be made into silencer need to have prior approval of Form 1. However the ATF recently rejected many Form 1 requests. The ATFs opinion is that solvent traps are now a silencer part.
