has anyone put a hydraulic cylinder (lift) on a new Holland 451 mower?

To lift the bar? Man! That would be great! My 9' bar is heavy.

Yeah that is what I want ,I am tired of getting off and on to pick bar up and put it down.

That's why I quit NH 451. Great mover, it just got I couldn't pick the blade anymore.

Several years ago I made contact the company. I ask if they were going to add a pick up cylinder or had a suggestion on adding one. Must have asked the wrong person. NO!! and hung up, so i went else where. To bad , such a good mower and the wrong person get in charge.

Could a winch be used to lift and lower the bar?

I'd say yes but it would not be very practical and you would need a high spot on the tractor or mower to do the lifting from

Like I said. Just curious. Did not know if one could be attached to the loop near the levelling arm or not.

Call Joe's machinery in PA. They may have a lift cylinder. Or can point you in right direction
