the hydraulic filter housing does have an O ring and I cant find it anywhere. Can anyone help? DIESELTECH?

In a previous post I told you the Massey Ferguson number and the I.D. and cross section.

I will add the O.D. and the "industry standard O-ring number".

I.D. 4.75"
Cross section 0.125"
O.D. 5.00"

Industry standard O-ring number: 248

MF part number 359110X1

I meant to add that some farm supply stores have O-ring assortments listed by "industry standard number", any hydraulic shop and a million places "on-line" should be able to come up with a "248" O-ring.

There's different "hardnesses", as well, 70 durometer, 90 durometer, etc., the higher numbers will be more resistant to squeezing out of place under pressure, though I doubt that will be an issue with your setup.

I have made several orings Cut a. long groove in a board for the oring to lay in. Now cut a thin groove at a very long diagonal with a razor knife. Now lay the oring in the groove and cut the ends. Do the same to another oring. Splice the two together with super glue and make it to any length you need. You might have to go to the doctor to get your fingers separated! Ha
