might have saw fixed? took to shop ,he said dump old gas ,fill with can of pre mix gas and oil mix should be good to go? we shall see

That will work if it's not clogged with dried ethanol residue, and the fuel lines and primer bulb are still flexible and intact.

Very common problem for the fuel line to rot and break off inside the tank. Easy fix.

I would of thought you would of tried that before consulting us with all the talk on here about fuel problems! Some folks have spent a lot of money chasing problems that are fuel related, I have very few problems, but I use all my equipment on a fairly regular basis. I have 2 saws that are over 40 years old that have always run reliably. Good luck with it!

This is probably not going to be very useful, but since it's the exact same saw I think it's worth mentioning.

About a year ago I was on here posting about how when I depressed the compression release button I couldn't get the thing to start; had to wait until the nephew stopped by, he's about half my age and has a little more lead in his pencil than I. He has no trouble starting it with the release activated. If I didn't hit the release button I could start it just fine. So that's what I've been doing ever since. Well the other day I went to start it and without thinking I hit the primer bulb a couple times. I never use that bulb, never needed to. Went to pull the rip cord and the darn thing was nearly seized. Slow steady pull and gradually it turned over ever so slow. Okay I must of hydro-locked it, that or there was some mud, saw dust and frozen crud around the drive sprocket. Take it in the house set it next to the stove and take the plug out while I cleaned all the boogers from drive sprocket. The plug was barely damp, certainly not wet enough to not fire. Put it back together go outside and try to start, even without priming it does the same thing! Now I'm in a quandary, decide what the heck do got to lose? Push release button and it fired right up first pull! Oddly since this happened I haven't had any troubles starting it without compression release. I can't for the life of me figure out how the release would cause this issue?

Anyway just thought I'd share.
