Tow Dolly Winch Size

What's the normal winch capacity for the hand crank winches used on a car tow dolly? I'd like to get a tow dolly but most I've seen for sale used don't have a winch. What size of winch is needed for pulling up a rolling car or truck? Thanks.

I have a 2000# winch on my homemade dolly. It is adequate. However it does take a lot of effort.
My ramps are a bit steeper than the factory built ones.

i have a 3500# on my beavertail trailer. it is a 2 speed and i added a snatch block to double the line pull. works good heres a link to a 2 speed winch
