Nickname for load binders?

There are ratchet type and chain over center type. Truckers have a slang or nickname for them.
I?ve heard it but can recall it.

Over center type "skull crackers"
Been lots of people hurt from them. Not only when tightening up but when releasing them is most dangerous.

I have heard several terms around this area but the most common term used is that will pass the YT posting test , I gotta boom this load down. When helping the same guy will say, Hand me that binder.

Before steel binders were common, a ten foot hardwood pole was used to twist the chain tight, then the end was tied down. This was called a Fool killer.

As in the over center binders when releasing them with a cheater pipe and you let go of it.
