Pressure Washer Gauge

I have a new, just out of the box, pressure washer gauge that is stuck on 1100 lbs. I didn't install it yet. Will it drop to zero after pressuring up, or is it defective?

Thanks,
Glenn F.

If it is mechanical it is defective. If it happens to run off an electric sensor then it may be the way it is ?

If you are skilled and have an idea of mechanical stuff, you can disassemble the gauge. Gently pop the front ring off, remove the two or three screws in the back and remove the mechanics of the gauge. With a pair of needle nose hold the shaft still and gently turn the needle to zero. This is a very simplified explanation so be very careful.

Hello Gleen F,

it is possible that when it was tested at the factory, it was hit with a lot of pressure. It may have may be just bent inside enough to be defective. it is possible, that its slightly warp inside, and a few taps may get it back down, its worth a try,

Guido.
