posted a few days back about an intermittent problem at one of my rentals. checked all the outlets and neutrals as advised and everything checked out. got a call this morning at 6:10 AM from tenant, all power on that circuit was now dead. went over and dvom'd all the outlets....no power. went to the breaker panel and checked the breaker and the lug connector on the breaker. had power there. hmmmmmm.. pulled the breaker (it was an oldie QO, prolly original. pulled the wire off the lug and found it was green with corrosion, as was the inside of the terminal lug. installed a new breaker, cut the corroded section off and reattached it. kicked the breaker in and wha-la!!!! everything works. watched the dvom for about 20 minuted or so and saw no drop in voltage. i should have pulled the breaker the first time, but checking power at the lug lured me into a false sense of security(lol). wanted to thank everybody for the suggestions and let youz know what i found. thanks again!!

it was running the same temp as the other breakers. i used a laser thermometer. they had a 40 watt led lamp and the tv and router plugged in to that circuit but nothing else. was very little current draw. router and cable would intermittently shut down and reboot. check my origiinal post for the full story. i thought it maybe was related to smart meters that were installed recently, which was about the time this problem surfaced.
