Another Whatzit.....

I bought a pegboard loaded with tools at an auction Saturday. These 2
"long black pokey things" were on it. I've asked a few people and nobody has a clue, myself included.

Any ideas?

Wood/coal burning home heating furnace "pokers". Used to mess with the fire while it is burning in the fire box. Helps knock down clinkers and ash through the grate. Jim

those are picks for auto body work. they are used for pushing dents up from the backside. i have them at my shop

Jeff I have pulled a lot of clinkers out of coal stoves/furnaces when I was growing up. I saw nothing exactly like those. However I spent the past 11 years of my life as credit manager for a car dealership. They look exactly like the tools our cleanup man/dent removal man used to remove minor dents from cars and pickups. They do have some value.
