I want a Listening device

I want this for my garage. I tried using a baby monitor but it only worked part of the time . Do i need a intercom . Drive way alarm only works part of the time

what is the objective? If talking to someone in the house. Call them! If hearing burglars a motion detector and alarm is best.

Yes, need more info.

What distance does the signal have to travel?
Any obstacles in the way within that distance?
Any large antennas or large motors nearby that might cause interference?
Is this for use for a housebound person?
Can you get internet in your home AND shop?

One thing I would recommend offhand is a walkie talkie. The lower cost units are easy to operate and the signal travels much better than a wireless intercom. There are also base units that are designed to remain on at all times. Personally, I like Midland brand best.

Several years ago I picked up an intercom set at an auction. Just plug them into a wall outlet. One in the house and the other one out in the garage. Could also be set to monitor. I've still got them somehere, but have not used them for many years. Don't remember the brand name. Maybe Radio Shack?

Thanks everyone who answered. I bought a 4 intercoms for $26.00 they plugin so I don’t have to worry about batteries. I will put one in bedroom and 1 upstairs. For $26 I figured id take a chance. If it doesn’t work I will order one like Guido suggested.

Hello Double07,

No, I am in the process to get two. That picture is from last year. When I stepped in the deck I heard a voice telling me to get out of there. Exceptional angle of view, and pretty clear. The phone app will let you manage the thing and view the video. I think it has a 15 feet range night vision in total darkness. I don't know how they call sell then so cheap! There is also an SD card slot. I am going to by the 1080p resolution. I think you can even zoom in and out. If you go to Amazon and search for an LED security camera you can go through the many features and prices too,
