Built this walkway as a step down from the porch to a patio. There was a Locust stump in the way, so I added it to the walk surface.
Going to paint the boards to match the porch and stain the stump top. 5.5 rise, 14.5 run

I like the locust stump. It will outlast the steps.
The corner of my pond deck is sitting on a huge black locust stump. They deck needs replacing after 33 years, but the stump is still solid.
Gonna tear out the deck when it cools off a bit more.
When I cut that locust tree many years ago, I split 88 fence posts and still had 2 truck loads of firewood out of it.
