Cordless drill

Had to pre-drill a hole for a lag bolt in a hedge corner post yesterday. I don't own a cordless anything but my old brace and sharp bit worked just fine. :) gm

That still IS a cordless drill.

Have a few tool simpltons at work. Two have asked to borrow my cordless drill. To one, I brought my brace & bit set, the other, my breast drill (having the true electric cordless drill under my desk).

Mess?n with people?s fun !

I keep several handy in oddball spots where I might need a drill or screwdriver, along with a few bits. They work just fine with the 1/4" hex bits commonly used and cheaply available for cordless or other drills, and are just the ticket for things like countersinking wood screw heads--saves changing bits constantly in the electric drills. Used my grandfather's today--needed to countersink the hex heads on a couple lag screws so I grabbed an auger bit large enough to allow for a socket to fit down onto the head of the lag screw after it was countersunk and had two nice flat-bottomed holes in less than a minute.
