When I started working 52 yrs. ago an older man told us one day and I quote:boys this country is getting in a MESS. 52 yrs. later the country is still here,I am still here and I think he is still here and we are STILL IN A MESS.

Now that's a great statement. America's property rate would certainly be a lot less is people practiced that policy. Most people have all they are willing to work for.

If you want something, you work for it. If you aren't willing to work for something, you don't want it that bad. That applies to material things and also knowledge and respect.

It's been about 20 years ago,a cousin said to me "Things have never been this bad.". I said "Well, you're not working in a mine six days a week, living in a company town, being paid in company script,or living in a lumber camp.". She didn't have much to say about that.

I think way back in medieval times somebody was saying "there's never been a worse time to bring kids in to this world".

Looking back to 1968, I'd say just about everything was much worse back them compared to where we are now, except that we were all much younger back then.
