Few new tools from Summit Racing

Going through a Summit Racing catalog I saw a few things I liked . A small inch /lb torque wrench for threads like 1/4-20. A flywheel turning tool which grabs a tooth and turns engine. Clevite rubber protectors for installing con rods onto crank without scratching journal [ cheap protection]. A nice set of extra long handle Allen wrenches. Prices were good. Also one four foot LED fixture which throws a lot of light.
 
The name sure puts off many buyers who don't know how great a parts source they can be and usually cheaper! The full gasket kit for my 163 continental on my welder was cheaper than anywhere else and shipped the same day. Bought gasket kit for case tractor and a bunch of tubes and tires for my garden tractors including hard to find 4.00-15 tri for the front of the 41 SC case. They can be a pain to search on some things, but a call will cover it all. chuck.
 
Two good things I got from them, a grease gun holder and torch holder that mount on the wall. I also buy choke cables from them for old tractors and stuff.
 
I buy a lot of stuff from Summit and don't race anything. As the other poster said, the name is deceiving. About 2/3 of what I buy from them arrives next day, most all else 2 days. They are an excellent outfit to deal with on the rare occasions there are problems too.
 
Dang! Could I have gone berserk when I was racing. Their roll cage kits are cheaper than I could fabricate one for.

Although I had a template for a cage for a Camaro. I could cut and bend a complete cage for a Camaro before I started to weld it together. Also, I fabricated a lot of A arms and other chassis components that are cheaper from them than what I could make them for.

I didn't get around to checking out their tools, yet.
 
I buy quite a lot of things from Summit Racing. I drool like a two year old or maybe an 80 year old while going thru their catalogs. What I like about them is if I order in the morning I receive the order the next after noon most of the time. If not it will be in the next after noon. Never have to get out on the road to a parts store. Probly location! Yet to be dissatisfied!
