Hello Richard G,

It's for my grandoughter. I will go Wednesday to put it in the window for her,

Guido.

Hello JF in MI,

Thanks....Four ingredients needed for the cleaning job. Water with comet bleach, a scotch bride pad and elbow grease,

Guido.

Hello Russ from MN,

We are not that cold here, but we are a month behind the growing season!
So much for global warming,

Guido.

Hello da.bees,

That is a piece of heavy paper that I taped in four spots. You can see the tape on the top view of one of the pictures. It looks dirty compared to the unit, my hands were dirty and made the tape black. Just a precaution cover so the condenser is protected till it's in place,

Guido.

Ok,good on you. I was afraid it was window screen and would restrict air flow worse than dirt on coil. As you were, you are doing fine.

One thing I hope that you have learned form all this is that the fan blowing across that condenser is for the purpose of heating up that refrigerant before it goes back inside to do cooling!

Hello JMOR,

Not that is not the fan purpose, and the high pressure gas needs to be cooled in order to condense, it is already HOT!.
The refrigerant comes from the compressor, (A VAPOR PUMP), as a high pressure gas. Goes to the top of the condenser and as the fan blows across it, it gives out the heat that it absorbed from the conditioned space during the cooling cycle. Comes out of the condenser as a high pressure liquid, where it goes to the expansion point to begin to cooling cycle,

Guido.

Hello JMOR,

I tried my best, should have quoted from my school's text book. Graduated in
1977 from a vo-tech school an a/c and refrigeration. Like it so much I sucked
it in like a sponge, and still do. I just returned from my grandfather's house.
Stuck in the window for her,

Guido.
