Gearbox Removal

Trying to get this gearbox off this Vermeer Rebel TM 800 trailed mower. Seal is leaking at bottom. Have it unbolted from the frame and it is laid over in pic. Appears to have nothing holding at top of gearbox other than bolts that hold it to frame. Roll pin at bottom of double ujoint holding it to cutterbar removed. Can't get either to budge. Advice appreciated!

Was concerned about heat, but with seal out I guess that shouldn't be a concern. Managed to get gearbox free by using a chain and lift around gearbox using weight of machine, and a prybar to free. Haven't got ujoint free from cutterbar but may try and heat and maybe use the candle trick I've heard from here. Now I'm trying to determine how to replace seal in gearbox. Looks as it may have to be disassembled.

if you have a pickle fork or ball joint fork, i would try and get it in below where the roll pin was. tap it in to get some pressure on the joint then
add some heat. gently.....not gingerly.

I thought about that. Managed to get the seal out of bottom of gearbox by screwing a screw into each side of seal and using them to pry it out. Will try the bottom of double ujoint next. Thanks!
