Fire extinguishers

FedEx just dropped off three boxes. I was expecting some medical supply's for the wife. It just dawned on me that her 24oz box weighs about four pounds and there are three of them!
The Kidde fire extinguisher company sent them. When I filled out the recall forms they said mine were all good and not under recall. I guess a phone call is in order Monday,they sent pick up labels, and I am not sure I still have the old ones.

I was supposed to get 2 under recall. They sent 3 over the course of a week and then one day the Fed Ex truck backs in the driveway and drops off 5 more. Haven't sent any back yet and haven't heard anything from them.

Wonder what would happen if the old ones weren't returned. My old one was a lot bigger and wouldn't fix in their box all the way. Hope a FedEx sorter doesn't drop it the wrong way :O

I received one a while back despite none of mine being effected by the recall. I called Kidde to ask if I should send the extinguisher back and they said to just keep it.

I have 4 new ones now. Sent all the old ones back. Great deal, nice to see a company stand behind their product.

Got my replacement about 4 weeks after submitting info on-line. Came home one night and there was a box leaning up against the garage door. Almost threw the return info away but they wanted the old one back. Followed the instructions, called FedEx and they picked it up.

I agree that it's pretty refreshing to see a company stand by their products and go way out of their way to handle replacements. Many of our other US corporations could learn a lesson from this.

I will not hesitate to buy Kidde products in the future.
