Fuel additive

Menards has some fuel additive on sale made by FVP, looks to be similar to Sea-foam. Has anyone ever used it with success? It's a lot cheaper than Sea-foam, $3.99 a bottle.

Saw that at Farm and Home the other day. Looks like the same bottle with a differant name. Maybe like Round up,the patent ran out and somebody else jumped on the band wagon.

Are you looking for someone's performance tested results? or just that someone can tell by the seat of their pants that they liked it?

No, but my ice auger hadn't been used for a couple of years so I put some Sea-foam in it and now it runs fine! I use a bottle a year in my
20 small engines as needed, it's a lot quicker than tearing the carburetors apart to clean the small passages.

I like the Berryman's B12 Chemtool additive for carburetor issues.

Bought a Stihl hs45 hedge clipper last summer at an auction. Wouldn't run without half choke. Put some Berryman's in and ran it a while, then left it set all winter with the gas in it. Took it out last Thursday, pulled it three times, runs PERFECT now. No choke needed.

My 4-stroke weedeater engine was starting to act fuel-starved at full throttle. A splash of B12 cured that one too.

It appears to work on minor gumming issues in carburetors.
