Here is a skilled fellow with a torch!!!

I happened to see this fellow's post on YouTube. He was talking about how he fish mouthed pipe joints. He then show how he does it free hand with a torch. He is darn good with that torch. What really caught my attention is not just his fish mouth joint but watch him cut the pipe to length freehand. He got it just about perfectly square totally freehand.

Back when I worked in a welding shop we built a notcher for that. Used it in a punch press. Faster than a torch & no slag. Looks like he has had a lot of practice.
 
I hold my head in shame...lol.. I have a buddy who does tank welding.. for large boilers?? He came over and gave me some pointers.. one was to hold the rod down by the weld in other hand as this guy did.. he told me you have better control which he was right.. just have to keep moving your hand up the rod as it gets shorter and hotter.. that was a huge learning tip..

I would love to cut like that.. I watched this over and over.. have to try it..

I also didnt relize about cutting tip.. guess dont know the size of mine.
 
Pretty rare when somebody posts a link to a video that I will watch much more than 30 seconds of it and think ya whatever and close it.

Started watching this one and the next thought I had was the router must be acting up as there is no way it can be done already.

Darned talented individual and I am not ashamed to say I learned a few things watching him.
