where to find online skid loader values

I am looking to purchase a used skid loader but I am not up to date on there value. Is there any websight out there like Kelly Blue Book for skid steers?

What works well is to go to web sites like Tractorhouse or Machinery Pete's and look up your model of skid steer. Then list 5-10 of the ones advertised. Then drop the highest priced one and the lowest priced one. Average the ones left. So this would be a real close "Advertised Retail Price". Then take 10-15% off of that price and you will have a pretty good average sold retail price.

several of the the big auctioneers like Ritchie Bros. list sales prices in their 'auction results' sections.

When you are looking online for reference prices, keep in mind that there can be pretty big differences depending on where the machine is. Around me, little machines like tracksteer loaders, skidsteer loaders and mini to mid size excavators are getting really high prices due to the huge amount of home building going on in the region.

I would worry more about overall condition, then negotiate the price. Auction company near me sells alot
of off lease skid steers. Most are in the 1500-2000 hour range. Better than half look like they haven't seen a grease gun since they were built, worn out bucket pins, choked up air filters, mismatched tires,7-800 hours on an oil change. At least around me there is a lease mentality, run the heck out of them,do as little maintenance as possible, and trade them in before they really start costing money, let the next guy worry about them.
