Amp wrench, sky hook, board stretcher. What are some of the invisible tools in your shop?

Left handed monkey wrench
Line extender

Not tools but related:
Red tail light oil
Blinker bearing adjustment screw
Muffler bearing
Clear Antifreeze for the air cooled engine
Diesel Exhast Fluid.........oh wait that?s real

I have a left handed smoke grinder left over from my BSA leader days. and a jar of grid leak bias from Western Electric, when I was in Test Set Maintenance.

I have a set of metric adjustable wrenches. It's really only half a joke, the lengths are marked on the sides in MM.200 MM is the most used.

First time I heard that term I thought I was having my chain pulled.

Usta tool, as in I usta have one of those around here somewhere. blinker fluid, hammer handle grease, hauling a load of sail boat fuel,

In the military, was sent to get a box of " gun sight reticles" for the aircraft.

The reticle is....." a projected image on the heads-up display, of a round circle with a dot in the middle"... for shooting missiles and firing guns... Being a rookie, I ended up getting sent to every supply depot on the base, and to every supply Sargent, all telling me that I had to go somewhere else as they were..... just out of them. Sadly it took me around two hours to figure out I had been duped. Later, after being sent to radar school, I became "aware".

2x4,

Got sent on a fool's errand in the Navy lokking for a "BT punch". Turns out the BT (boiler tech) in charge of the tool locker knew it and I receive the punch I requested.

Spent many hours taking a nap in my bed before I returned to the plant. When asked, I played stupid and said I spent the entire time looking for said punch.

Took advantage of that salty trick and slept well.

first day on the job I was as green as can be. My foreman told me to go to the truck and get the hotstick out of that tube.
I put on heavy gloves expecting it to be a very hot stick.

(quoted from post at 16:19:51 03/25/18) What about blinker fluid

NO!! NO!! Its [u:ad88da480d]synthetic[/u:ad88da480d] blinker fluid... otherwise it will blink very slow in the winter time.

I sent a neighbor kid to the shop for a sky hook while we were putting his tv antena up. Ten min latter he learned that he 'had been had'. He was mad for the rest of the day. clint

Henway, Bolt stretcher, left handed phillips screwdriver, plus many others already mentioned.
One place I worked for years ago had a laser. Also had a pneumatic suction cup setup (for real) for moving plates of steel from the stack to the laser bed. One week we were using the laser to cut several pieces of expanded metal. The stuff's light enough to move by hand, but I managed to convince one "kid" to use the suction cups on it instead. He couldn't figure out why it wasn't working. Called me some nasty names when he finally figured it out.

vortex generator. They were a T bracket installed at a slight angle. But of course people were sent to the electric shop to ask for them.
My invisible tool is under the last tool that I set down on the bench or has been knocked on the floor. again

(quoted from post at 09:59:01 03/25/18) hauling a load of sail boat fuel,

I have several 55 gal. drums of sailboat fuel available if anybody needs some. No need for fuel additives like Stabil or Gas-X.
