Got a "Little Mule" electric chain hoist. 1000 lb. Maybe 20 yrs old. Quit working last fall. Took it in to elec. motor shop and he called today. It is the electronic circuit board. No longer available. But he may know a guy that can rebuild board. Wonder what that will cost and if it is worth it? Don't use it much now that I closed my shop. Maybe 3 times a year. Can buy a new manual one for around $300. Might just do that. A new electric about $1500. I can't remember what I paid for this one. Think I got it from Northern.

Get all the numbers from the hoist and "electronic circuit board" and start searching the 'net.

"NLA" from the "OEM: is one thing and what's actually out for sale on the 'net is another.

Quite possible the board can be fixed.

I had a welder that had a board go bad. Older unit, parts made of unobtainium. I found an outfit in NC that said they could fix it. A couple weeks, and $70 later I was back in business.

My little mig welder wouldn't advance the wire after a couple of minutes, think I had it apart working on it for a month, finally decided it had to be the potentiometer but the only way it came was with the circuit board and cost almost as much as the welder did twenty years ago. I finally took a magnifying glass to it and found two cracks in the board, couple of drops of solder and it's as good as it ever was.
