Throw away your grinding wheels?

I am convinced that a very big part of it is like with flap wheels the difference is in contact area. A rigid disc will contact only over a small amount of its surface, while the flexible wheel contacts way more.

Here's what he was using.

I would be interested in the finish quality. I've mostly gone to flap discs instead of grinding discs, but these might be worth checking out.

I would not go for this quantity as an initial experiment though. And there was another back up arbor in the video, must be an additional purchase.

I like using them a lot. Since they are flexible you cover more area than a rigid wheel. But you can catch a sharp edge occasionally and the disk can fly apart, hopefully away from you but not always. Just remember how fast that wheel is spinning, doesn't take much to get your attention.
