Where is my 3/4 wrench?

Had to clean my battery connections on my Farmall 200 today. Well after I stupidly burned the crap out my finger touching a hot connection. You'd think seeing a glowing ember pop off the negative post, I wouldn't have touched the wire right away.

I made at least 6 trips to the shop to find a suitable 3/4 wrench to remove the cable off starter bolt. Yep I have EVERY box end wrench but the 3/4. Went next door to Mom's to get one there.. mext week I'll be hunting for a missing 5/8's lol.

I have a stand-up tool box on "each" side of my shop. How come all the Phillips screwdrivers wind up in one box and the slotted screwdrivers wind up in the other box on the other side of the shop?
This has happened more than once.

Seems like I had a shortage of 3/4 wrenches
here a while back. Most of my lug nuts &
bolts are 3/4. Suppose it's time to clean
off work benches and sort.

That is why in my shop I have 3 inch screws in the wall that I hang my wrenches on and all but one size has multiples. Only one that I only have 1 of is the 1 inch and the spare is in my traveling tool box. Most I have enough that I cannot add another to because the screw would need to be longer

It's 9/16 for me and I also have a 7/16" and a 1/2" wrench on my bedroom dresser that belongs on the wall next to the missing 9/16 but fortunately I
have others they just don't match.

One of the best deals I"ve gotten was getting a gym bag (yes, a gym bag) full of various combination wrenches at a car show for $15.
Sorted them into bags by size, and put sets in various locations as needed. If one vanishes for a while, I can go to the bag and get
another until the original shows back up. Crazy how wrenches can crawl off to the darkest corners and hide for a while.
