Actually used it yesterday. Wife and I set 48 post ,in concrete, yesterday. Finished up job before lunch today. Near 400'. Easiest auger I ever owned.

you better give her a big hug,,,she cooks,,,she fixes your tractors,,shes a carpenter,,,she mixes concrete,,she bakes great biscuits,,and she is pretty,,,,,how did you get so lucky in life?
 
I bet you couldn't use that on my place. I have one on the PTO of a little tractor and once it grabs it's like a screw going into the ground. It won't stop until it kills the tractor. I had to make a wooden frame which stair steps the auger down. The bad thing is it makes it a two man job.
 
Too many rocks and hard ground for one of them around here. Even a three point auger will hit a rock, screw in, and your stuck without reverse. A company from a sandy area bid on burying a fiber optic line in our area and started out with ditchwitches, quickly changed to backhoes and called in the blasters on occasion.
