I have the same set. Mine came with a cloth storage rollup. I think they are just as good or better than the made in Taiwan NAPA wrenches.

That Craftsman set is on sale right now at ACE HARDWARE for $9.99.

Mine came from EBay. I used my Ebay Bucks to get it free. Then I saved my next EB to slowly build the set up to 3/4.

I was in Sears last week buying a pressure washer and I saw the made in China sets. I was disappointed but if you think about it the wrenches are probably made by the same machinery and same quality {if the base metal matches]. Only thing is an American lost a job. And it is a China price not a Craftsman price.

There is plenty of good, used, USA made Craftsman tools available to be bothered to buy this Chinese crap. Stanley, who bought Craftsman, is planning to bring most production back to the USA.

Ironic because most Stanley mechanic tools I own are China or Taiwan, yet they have been some of the best tools for the dollar in my opinion

Bought most of my Craftsman in 1975 at a Sears Roeback Store on Main Street, can't do either of those any more.
I bought: Tool Box/Tool Chest Set, Smaller tool box. Box end, open end, combination from 1/4" to 1 1/4". 1/4", 3/8" 1/2". 3/4" drive socket sets, screw driver set, tune up wrench set, and a few other tools for $500. My dad was mad that I spent so much money. But he never complained when he used them. I still have 99% of the original tools.

A couple of months ago I was walking around a sears store looking for Christmas gifts. I noticed the bubble packed wrenches were made in China but the individual wrenches had made in the USA stamped in them. I wonder what that's about?

When I bought my first car I went into a sears store and bought a Craftsman mechanics tool set. This was in the early 60's, came in a tool box with 1/2, 3/8 and 1/4 drive sockets and ratchets. Couple wrench sets and some other stuff for something less than $100.00. Can't remember the exact price but had to have been cheap because I was in the Navy making ~$100.00 a month.

Still have and use most of it almost daily, 1/2 inch ratchet has been replaced under warranty a couple times but haven't been able to break or bend the 1/2 inch breaker bar and lord knows I have tried. Have yet to break any of the sockets but a couple are a little beat up from using an impact.

Most of my tools are Craftsman bought over the years as needed.. Sad that Sears went the way they did, miss going to the tool section.

If you really want to buy some American-made tools, as well as tools from all over the world, do a Google search for "Harry Epstein hand tools". You'll thank me later, LOL!
Thirty or forty years ago, there was a commercial on TV about Craftsman tools. It showed a Chinese aircraft mechanic (who worked in the country of China, just to set the context here) who used Craftsman tools and only Craftsman tools. Why? Because they were American made and had a lifetime warranty. (I've looked for this commercial on Youtube and all over. I can't find it) My, how the mighty have fallen.
My local Ace mom-and-pop hardware store still have some Craftsman tools that they put on a deep sale every now and then and sometimes I can buy an American-made Craftsman tool. But it's getting harder all the time.
If I'm going to buy a foreign-made tool (and I do have some in my tool chest) I figure it's best to buy them from Harbor Freight. They seem to be expanding and probably won't be out of business any time soon.
