In the old days many items came with tools. From the square socket on the end I'm thinking it was for a stove or boiler, that looks like it was for turning/shaking the grates. My guess anyway.

It is IHC. It probably came with a binder, planter, or hay loader. Tools that fit the equipment (even if unhandy were better than most farmers had. Jim

And probly still better than some of the made in China junk we buy today although this thing does kinda look like something Bob villa would try peddle for crapsman as the wonder fitsaal do all wonder tool

Dads IH Keystone No 3 hay rake had one wired to the seat. He said it fit most everything on the rake and for me to keep my hands off. Was probably still there when I pushed it in the woods 40 years ago.
