beware of reliableaftermarketpartsinc if you are buying parts on ebay. Had a problem with an item where they charged exorbitant shipping charges which is o.k. as I knew it but what I didn't know was that they would wait 2 weeks to even ship it out. I figured that with the high charges they would get it out quick but no. I contacted them after I got the part to see if they would work with me the super high charges since it took so long but nope. This meant I had an unhappy customer. I did leave negative feedback which most companies take in and either respond or use it to improve their process if needed. Not these clowns - they just block you from ever doing business with them again. No sweat for me but it believe it shows they have poor customer service and don't care. if you look at their feedback you will see that have many issues with shipping as well as poor quality of parts.

I got a clutch kit for an Allis about a
year ago from them no problem, but I did
see some people complained.

Their negative feedback is negligible, 11 neg dealings out of 3073 in a 1 month period, not exactly a fly by night business or scam. All eBay businesses with high volume get occasional unsatisfied customers same as brick and mortar stores. I?ve ordered parts from them and never had an issue, shipping is high yes, but they have the parts needed at reasonable prices. eBay isn?t the wisest place to order off of if you need on time parts when a customer is waiting, thought everyone knew that.....

Never had a problem with shipping time from many other sellers on ebay. A week +/1 of actual shipping time is reasonable. But if you're a high volume seller on ebay, you would think you have the shipping figured out to where you have it in the mail within a couple days. Just my experience. Mainly I was pointing out how they block you from buying anything from them if you post negative feedback. As stated, when you sell a lot you will likely have some negative feedback so don't get all cry baby about it and block somebody from buying. I would likely have bought other stuff from them just now aware it may way longer to get than if I bought it from anyone else. I just think it shows that could care less about the average so the beware is that if you have a problem with them, don't expect any remedy and if you post your experience, be prepared to never do business with them again.

I've bought quite a lot of stuff from them and have gotten
along fine. Their shipping is high but not too bad if you
can put an order together on multiple items. They'll work
with you to combine the shipping on multiple items. Usually
pretty quickly I might add. Maybe the holiday season helped
screw up the shipping.

I see your point. I have never been blocked for leaving neg feedback so far. Many times I won?t leave feedback at all if the seller stipulates they
won?t leave feedback until I have done so first, those are the ones I am most wary of and won?t do business with because they end up
controlling the actual truth about their dealings.

This was back in September so no holiday. I just found out about the block and tried to see if we could straighten it out but they weren't interested in that either. Just seems like a really sorry way to behave when you can't take any criticism. Most of the high volume sellers have at least a couple negative feedbacks and that is to be expected but I bet next to none of them other than these jokers block people for one negative item. Just like the comments here - a lot of folks have had no problem with them and that is fine. Most times you just look over the negative feedback and you can see that there are some complainers that are sort of unreasonable and most times they don't even contact the seller first to allow them to work something out. In my case I paid about 3x what it actually cost to ship something small (I took the weight and size and looked at what it would cost me to ship to them). I have knowingly overpaid for shipping before and that is just fine by me but usually those folks at least get it to you quickly. I mainly only ever used RAP to get lower quality parts that I knew were Chinese knock offs that were acceptable for the application so I'm not losing some great avenue for needed parts. It's more like if you do something wrong to a guy in your community and he tells you what he thinks about it and you tell him you don't care what you did or what he thinks about it. At the next public sale you find out he told someone else about it that was going to buy something from you and although he told exactly the truth, you hate that guy. Understandable that you hate him but he really didn't do anything wrong, only told the truth. The guy he told may even still buy the thing but you likely still hate him and tell everyone else you will never deal with him again but never tell him. You know that guy will just go on with his life and avoid you at all cost.

You should ALWAYS ask before placing an order what the expected shipping date is.

If you did not ask, shame on you.

If you did ask and get lied to, shame on them.

I've bought quite a few parts from them and have never had to wait long to get them. After I bought the first or second part, I just call them and order what I need. They have always been great for me to deal with. Keith

I have bought a lot of parts from them,
even gears and such for John Deere
planetaries and such, always been good
quality and pricing and usually shipped
quick buy a few times it took 2 to 4
weeks to ship which was frustrating

Last fall I ordered an overhaul gasket set , freight was 55+,

also was rather incomplete . Don't think I will order again.

I was a warehouse distributor for clevite as well as a rebuilder

for 30+ years , so I have an idea what freight costs and what

should be in a o/h set.

They are a big outfit. They have a website and a catalog besides
the ebay store. They don't care about a few complaints on eBay.
Just just block you and move on.

Ebay feedback really means nothing. A lot of sellers get
negatives they don't deserve.

They also sell lawnmower parts. I bought a cable from them that
lasted oh three weeks and broke.

I've bought a bunch of stuff from them, never had a problem and shipping was never an issue either.

If they are the only source for the item, it is what it is, deal with it and move on.

There are many ebay sellers that bait their customers with what looks like a great price. Until you see the inflated shipping costs.

I try real hard to avoid those that are obviously trying to make profit from shipping charge versus the part.
Which to me is a red flag to possible other problems with that seller.

Have bought a lot of stuff from them... no problems... They sell the same products that everyone else sells. Some of it great, some of it fair. some of it made in US, some of it made elsewhere. I always do a search for the parts I need through my various wholesale accounts and they often beat them on the same parts, or have parts that I can NOT get from my wholesale sources. I am very surprised that you have had a problem with them as I have had none. Aftermarket parts vary in quality, mostly satisfactory, but a few are lacking. I dont blame them for the parts as they did not make them.

I contacted them a couple years ago about an obvious aftermarket part they had for sale with photo. I knew it was aftermarket. My exact question was just that, " is this an original XX part or aftermarket" ? they told me original XX. That's how I test for honesty and they failed miserably . I do not buy from them or anyone who fails the test. If one just asks the right questions ahead of time ....the bad ones will hang themselves .

I ordered some stuff several years ago. I believe the parts were branded A&I, regardless I drove right over to Charlotte and picked it up at the warehouse.

Also, there are a lot, I mean A LOT of ebay sellers that are selling stuff they do not have in hand.
They create the listing and sell something and then go order it from some other place. Some have it shipped to them so that they can relabel it and ship it to you. Maybe why shipping is high to recoup two shipping charges.
Others buy the item and have it sent to the ebay buyer.

I could list the entire contents of the McMaster-Carr catalogue and there is no rule against it per ebay.
And I would never actually handle the item sold.

So some part time, minimum wage, order taker - person answered the phone, and you ask him where a ford tractor part came from and... he/she made his best guess. And you determined the whole company status base on that????? Do you think he or she even know what the part was, or what it did? Probably doesn't know blinker fluid from muffler bearings. Or even know what the word "aftermarket" means????

Lets see... chevy parts come from chevy, ford parts from ford, and obviously vw parts come from buick.

Just to add, a lot of sellers have high shipping so in the event of a refund, you don't get all your money back. And they still made a profit! And of course the "price" looks attractive being lower..

Tip, message sellers and ask for a lower price. Works about 20% of the time.
