Jigsaw blades

I'm about out of jigsaw blades, the ones with the small hole near the end. No longer available? When were they changed? They now have two different shapes, that won't fit. Any ideas?

They have them. Just a little harder to find. My guess they are going to the t shape for toolless blade changes.

Do you have a home depot or lowe's near you. They should have the blades. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Makita-3-1-8-in-24-Teeth-per-in-Shank-Jig-Saw-Blade-2-Pack-723012-3-2/204374926

Assuming you are indeed talking about a jigsaw, as opposed to a scroll saw (which often also gets called a jigsaw, even by the saw's manufacturer, particularly in the case of older saws), as noted most of the newer saws have went to the T-style blade tang. The U-style (or "universal", which it frequently isn't, even with saws designed to take it) isn't seen as much with newer units. Aside from the obvious sources for NOS blades for your specific saw such as Ebay, it may require buying U-style blades and then doing a bit of tweaking such as grinding the tang down or drilling a hole in the blade for the retaining pin if your saw has one.

I'd never heard of the T style until I went online shopping for a jig saw back in September for a kitchen remodel project. Bought a cheap Skil brand saw and a pack of Bosch brand blades. They work nice, none of that looking for a screwdriver or Allen wrench to change blades!
