Air Compressor Hose Reel

Couldn't tell you which one is best but don't get one with plastic hose ( hard to roll back up when cold).

I ought a Good Year at Runnings Farm store a few years ago. When I finally got around to putting it up it leaked around the swivel. Called them at the 800 number on the box. A few day later got the parts for free. Been working great, no leaks for years.

I go one from TSC last year and it is good so far. I like it because it is enclosed. I just hold a rag over the hose when it sucks back in and it stays clean.TDF

I like the ones you crank the hose back into/on. The spring return ones are a PAIN to keep working in any kind of rusty environment.

I have a craftsman hand crank, about 15 yrs. old with absolutely no problems with the hose or leaks. My dislike with the autos I used is that the more hose you pull the hose out the harder it is to do so due to the winding of the spring.

I recommend the Goodyear reel. The hose is very high quality rubber. I've had mine now for about 4 years and it has been trouble free.

It’s hard to go wrong with a Goodyear. Four years ago I bought my son a high dollar hose reel at a parts store. I forget the name of it of course! The hose lasted one month. I got a new hose under warranty and it lasted a month. Then my son put a Goodyear hose in it and that hose lasted until last summer, about three and a half years of use under 150 psi. The reel and seal have been flawless under darned near daily use. Now he has some kind of a dayglow green hose in it that is more flexible. We will see how long it lasts.

I've got a couple of them from Home Depot.

They were cheap compared to the ones in industrial catalogs, but the reels have held up well, used daily.

Like others said, the hoses failed quickly, but easily replaced with better grade.

For the price, I would recommend them.

Reelcraft makes some really nice hose reels, but their a little pricey. I have two in the shop but will probably get a HF model to go on my truck.

Good reels are worth it if used every day, for occasional use I'd look at a cheaper model and be prepared to replace the hose with a better grade when the cheap hose goes bad.

I had two reels both from major auto parts companies. I tossed them both. I got tried of replacing the o-ring in the swivel joint twice a year.

I bought mine from HF, use it almost every day from the last fifteen or more years. No problem, in fact I was thinking of putting one in the center of the garage so I didn't have to pull so much hose out. I have one by the outside doors so I can use it outside.

I have 3 hose reels in the barn. Different brands but they all leak at the pivot seal. I like the one in my workshop the best. It's just an old car rim about screwed on the wall about 4' high. I coil the hose over it and leave it long enough to reach the floor. No leaks and the hose doesn't all the curls from being wrapped in a small circle.

I bought one from the traveling tool truck several years ago. The hose was not included. I've not had any issues at all with it.

I bought two from Northern Tool about 6 years ago. Goodyear brand with goodyear hose, 50'. No problems and in a pro shop environment.
