This is one of the trucks I drive now.

I saw this was loose right away when I started working here and said they should fix it or it would break down the road, but they said its been like that for a long time and would be ok. Well 2 months later its broke in several places amd now I get to fix both the loose bolts and weld the frame.

So now when everyone else has Tuesday off for Christmas I get to go to work and fix this truck. Lol, oh well, I need the money anyway.

Jon, I know you?re a grown man that can take care of your own affairs, but let me say this. I?m just
assuming you have been hired to drive the truck and do whatever tasks are involved with pulling
the roll-off units on and properly securing the load. I?m not sure what your exact terms of
employment are with the company you work for but here is my concern. When you bring their
truck to your property and start doing repairs on it, particularly structural frame work you are
opening yourself up to a huge liability. Unless, you have signed other employment paperwork that
covers you and releases you from ALL but resonable liabilities under these circumstances I would
be very cautious about proceeding with offsite repairs like this on their equipment. I know you can
probably do a very adequate and proper repair job on this. Just stating facts down the lines of the
old saying most know...the road to he!! is paved with good intentions...! Now if you are doing this
at their site with their tools and equipment none of this applies. My 2 cents worth. Merry Christmas
to you as well!

Whoops I did the big OOPS, that I hate to see others do. I didn?t read and understand the whole post before I wrote my reply. I see you said...I have to go into work...sorry all. Must have thought I needed practice typing this out on my phone. I will add this, if you were hired as a driver and now are doing repairs you may be taking on additional liabilities. If you are getting paid by the hour the chances of any litigation making its way back to you at this point are minimal.

Part of my job is welding and it is in their shop. But I've been doing this kind of work for many years and do still keep my insurance paid.
