Bearing puller part

So in my infinite wisdom I broke part of my bearing puller set. I'm looking for parts (unit is off brand, so doubt I'll find exact replacement, but similar thing is what I need). I snapped off the standoff that has multiple sizes on it. Any idea what they are called so I can buy individually, or do I just but another set?

Wonder if Grade 8 or "stress proof" rod would be strong enough... if so it would be simple enough to make one in the lathe.

We used to just buy gr8 all thread from Fastenal in all the common sizes, we never knew what we might need in the middle of the night.

Bought a set at auction that was missing a leg, just had a friend make one on his lathe.

What type of metal? Need something that won't strip the threads off of.
