I'm thinking a number of folks on the board know what these are for.
They helped put plenty of groceries on our table.
except Milwaukee didn't make these. another company made them.

Slug-busters

I have the Greenlee Quick Draw set with the right angle hydraulic driver, 1/2 - 2" slug-busters for conduit and one for 30mm panel switches.
Used them a lot helping wire my friends sawmills, electricians did the main wiring and I did a lot of the function and control wiring.
They where always borrowing my set for conduit under 2" because it was faster and lighter than their big porta-power pump set they used on the bigger 3-4" stuff.

Another darn handy tool is a Whitney Punch. When I was making my living in electronics, I installed a bunch of Cannon connectors. I'd use a Greenlee punch to knock out the main hole and a Whitney punch to make the holes for the fasteners. Much faster, cleaner and more accurate than drilling them.

I've always called them Greenlee Punches. Sorta like Kleenex, Greenlee has become something of a generic name for knockout punches.

I have several, up to 1-1/2" I think, inherited them from my Dad who, among other things, was an industrial electrician.

In the electrical trade we call them knock out punch. Slugbuster are the same but have a different cutting edge that works easier. We never store them with the cutting edge down.

I still have a dozen or so Greenlee punches, as my father was an electrical engineer. Once in a while I use one still. Several of them are square, too, and you just can't drill a square hole.
