Bought a new Stihl 193 chainsaw few weeks back, nice and light for limbing. I've also got a Stihl MS361 as my main saw. Tested the 193 on a few limbs, worked great for about 5 minutes. Kept telling my wife it's "her" new saw. Got the "look". :x Anyway, we both went out to cut some deadfall blocking a trail 2 weeks ago. Laid both saws out on the tailgate of the truck, put gas and oil in them and the little one wouldn't start. Emptied the tank, put fresh gas in it, no go. Today I took it back to the dealer. Counter guy couldn't start it either. He opened the cap and asked what kind of mix. I said "why are you looking in the bar oil tank". He said "uh" and we both went "uh, oh". They emptied both tanks, refilled and it's running ok, they said it may be a little smokey. What probably got me is the gas tank is towards the bottom of the 391 and I just "assumed" it was the same on the 193. Turns out it's the one on the top and bar oil is towards the bottom. Anyway, my wife will be thrilled to hear that even I make mistakes.
