extra long brake bleeder scews

I am looking for extra long wheel cylinder bleeder scews. I have changed brakes on my 48 Ford Car. They need to be atleast 1 and 1/2" long or longer. Thanks

Look at the ads in a custom or car paperback mag, and there's "Dennis Carpenter" in Charlotte NC or " Macs" in Rockport New York, both have web sites to check and make contact with.
Hope it helps

I need longer bleeder scews on my 48 Ford car. I have install a bracket that holds the brake drum and axle from coming out if axle breaks. It bolts to wheel cylinder so it is hard to bleed brakes.

Hello Steve-Maine,

Some times I used a socket to loosen the bleeder, then an open end wrench to do the bleeding. I then was shown how to do it with a clear jar and a hose. One man job and no mess!

The auto shop/ parts store I worked at just after high school kept a bleeder screw assortment such as shown in the link. Might ask at a couple of local parts stores to see if they might have such a thing containing what you are looking for. Also before computer look up became prevalent each line of parts had a buyers guide catalog that gave a picture and description of all part numbers. You could look through it and come up with something from a different application that could be used for your special purpose. I'm not sure if you can still get your hands on something like that. My last ditch suggestion would be to get a coupler nut cut to length to braze onto the stock bleeder.
