Marquette oxygen/acetylene sets

Who manufactured the Marquette brand acetylene torchs and regulators? What are the pros and cons about them?

Thanks for your replies.

The very first AC Buzz Box welder I ever owned was a Marquette. It was a good machine. I used it until I could afford an AC/DC machine and I sold it for a hundred bucks. I think I owned a set of regulators and torches too at one time. Probably owned 25 sets since then. Been too long to remember. My concern with something that old is the diaphragms in the regulators would be dry rotten and all the O rings in the torches would be hard. Parts would be hard to come by too. Unless someone is giving them to you, I wouldn't invest much in them.

welding man, I am sure you are aware that no regulator lasts forever, eventually they need to be rebuilt or replaced. I bought a new Victor flow meter 25 years ago and never used it. I put it on my tig machine argon bottle and in a couple of minutes it was leaking. I had it rebuilt in st. Paul. cheaper than buying a new one though.

I agree with you an old regulator set is not worth much, they will need to be rebuilt. I think an individual would not be able to buy parts for them, could be wrong.

I know this sounds kinda crazy.I bought a new 2 stage Craftsman torch and gauges when I got out of the army in 1963.Still using them this day, never been rebuilt or touched to this day.
