Best shallow well water pump?

I have a Burks pump now that is pretty tired. It might be around 35 years old, but it has been rebuilt one time in its life.

I would rebuild it again if parts were available, but I think Burks is out of business. I believe the Burks has a bronze impeller but many of todays pumps are thermoplastic. I am not enthused about a thermoplastic impeller.

Are there any pumps built today that will last like the Burks did?

Goulds is what I have, and it was considered a premium brand when I got it years ago. When you say "tired", what exactly is the problem? If the issue is seals, parts may still be available.

I'm thinking I hear bad bearings on the motor. The pump has to come apart to fix the motor so new seals would be a must have.

I am going to get a new pump as I need it working now. I may search for Burks parts and repair the old pump for a spare if I can find them.
