Hello,

Got them today at the farm. It will be a long day tomorrow.
Will do crushed and sauce,

Guido.

Beautiful! Next year I will be able to raise tomatos again. I always can about 75 quarts of tomato sauce with some chopped onions and chopped green peppers for base for spaghetti, lasagna and chili. You can't buy something that good in the store...

Guido- That's the prettiest bunch of tomatoes I've ever seen. What kind are they? (If you don't mind me asking).

Hello Greg1959,

I don't know. There are very few plumb tomatoes in there. One type as a pointy end on the bottom. The other type looks like a bit steak tomatoes. They are ripe! They had one on the counter that weighted 2 lbs. Here is one that has to be 1 lb. Same length as the can about 1 1/2 time as thick. What do you think?

Hello Greg1959,

Forgot to mention, they are Jersey tomatoes. We drive to the farm stand every year. I think its worth the ride!

wow those are nice! our look awful this year. I am lucky that we have a grower for red gold close so get my canning maters there. They are a roma type and they are juicy!

Hello 4520b

Mine are just as bad as yours. These come from a farm we found while traveling. Now its a yearly trip,

Guido.
