[b:a32db911b7]I know there is a for tool for top dead center which whistles when it reaches the compression stroke it will whistle. Has anyone ever tried this tool> I know they make it for 14-18 MM soark plugs but was not sure if it would fit a Ferguson TO30[/b:a32db911b7]

The whistle only lets the compression stroke be separated from the exhaust. It does not indicate TDC, timing marks are for that. It will fit. Jim

Hello PhilH,

To find absolute T.D.C. You need to turn the engine and stop when the piston is at T.D.C. Then turn the
engine in the opposite direction a do the same. 1/2 way between those two points is the true T.D.C.
Or a screw drive in the cylinder untill the piston stops coming up on the compression stroke,
