Super Serpent

Hello rocky acre farms,

Nice tools, but those tires are probably 11r22.5 size truck tires, about 1/3 the size you have. Man handling your size tires will not be as easy. Also lifting both beads at one time? The tire spoons the guy on the left is using, I still have mine, are more then adequate. Never tackled farm tires, probably take two, and more spoons to get her done!

Guido.

That is not how tractors come off a rim. Two 30 inch spoon bills will get them off,a dull wood splitter maul and a two lb hammer will break the bead down.

Hello 504,

You describe how automotive tube type tires are taken down, just bigger spoons

Guido.

Yeah, I am inclined to think that those tools are specifically designed for tubeless heavy truck tires. That demounting tool is for sure a tube-pincher.

22.5 truck tires are easy to mount and dismount compared to a hard old tractor tire. Not only are they changed often so the rubber is fresher, but the beads are not nearly as deep as on a tractor tire, so they're easier to get on and off in that respect.

Thanks for all the replies....guess what made wonder if it would work was on one demo they were using the tools on a 24" backhoe tire but it was a tubeless tire.
