Update on my old anvil its a mousehole made in Sheffield England. Dated between 1890 and 1910. It tried putting pic on here but I couldn't. If you want to see it and the markings email me at [email protected]. Because it's for sale. It just want to get rid of it but would feel guilty if it just threw it away.

Can you email me again? I got yours and saved the pics but then it dissapered somehow so I can't reply.

Thanks for sending the pics. Wish I lived closer. Going by the weight markings it should be about 118 pounds. 112+0+6. The Brits marked them that way. You have a very well respected maker. Unless there is an abundance of anvils in your area, I personally think you should ask 300 for the big one, as long as no pieces are missing. If I were closer I would get them for investments.

My anvil is also a mouse hole. 258 lbs. I would have to look it up again but iirc it is a mid to late 1800's production.

I have an anvil like the one in picture that's been in the family for as far back as i can remember and I'am 70. I also have the same
hammer.

That looks exactly like the one we had on the farm. A couple weeks before the auction last November it walked off. Pretty sure my no good brother stole it, along with a few other things that went missing...

Anvil, my 3 ton floor jack and stands, 5/8
drive snap-on sockets, 3 pt gooseneck/
Reese hitch adapter, are what I can
remember growing legs just prior to our
sale.

I've looked at times for an anvil, most I see have the face pretty much scarred and beat up. At one time I aspired to be a blackSmith. I bought a forge and some tools, then moved to go to college and kinda gave it up. When dad was in the hospital and the scrap iron thieves hit us they didn't touch the forge. Dang thing is a beast.
